Although I sold the original lately, I'm still a little attached to the Island House as I have lived here for some years now. Time to paint it again, perhaps much more loosely this time....

Charcoal and graphite drawing. Capturing the turn and the fox's stare were challenging. I like the feel his fur seems to have.
A recent water color - I loved working on the lace and the watery reflections. I like the romance it implies.
Karen Cunningham concentrates on original watercolors and commissions. She
lives and works on Anna Maria Island in Florida and in Haddam, Connecticut.
Karen works in watercolors, oils,acrylics, charcoal, and with polymer clay. She
enjoys painting with her friends in organized classes in Connecticut, at the
Cafe on the Beach with the Monday Painters and with the Plein Aire Painters on
Wednesday mornings, on the beaches and around the island. She has work for sale
